Ramadan night run around Dubai’s Al Qudra Lakes

Enjoy a fun run around a beautiful nature reserve

Ramadan

Fancy a stretch of the legs around an idyllic nature reserve?

There’s a Ramadan night run taking place around Al Qudra Lakes next week and it will give you the chance to take in some natural sights.

The event will kick off next Wednesday (June 6) and is open to runners of all levels with three different distances available.

Take on the 2.5k, the 5k or the 10k at the evening event, with the 10k starting at 8pm and the 5k and 2.5k at 8.05pm.

As you take a turn around the lakes you’ll be able to cast your eyes over more than 40 hectares of shrub land, which is home to more than 204 species of native birds, 158 species of migratory birds and 10km of lakes.

Registration is open until the end of today (Sunday June 3) and costs between Dhs50 and Dhs125.

Find out more details and register for the event at Hopasports.

Race pack collection is on the evening of the event from 7pm until 7.50pm and we’d advise you get down there a bit early to limber up and take in the atmosphere.

There are also plenty of other ways to enjoy your evenings this Ramadan, with the Al Seef night market and iftar cooking classes.

We can’t wait to get at one with nature… and get fit at the same time.
From Dhs50. Wed June 6, from 8pm. Al Qudra Lakes, www,hopasports.com.
