Babel
This Lebanese seafood restaurant is an import from Beirut – and it’s a credit to the original. Save this one for a lazy weekend lunch – a Friday or Saturday when you’ve hours to indulgently while away, and journey through a menu of mezze, salad and an abundance of fantastically fresh seafood.

Ibn AlBahr
Looking for beachside dining at its very best? If you haven’t already been to this Lebanese seafood joint at Club Vista Mare then you’re missing a trick. As well as an excellent selection of mezze, the highlight is a central fish market that where you can pick your own catch of the day. Kick back, order up a selection of dishes and enjoy the sea views.

Makan
There are stacks of restaurants at happening seaside resort La Mer, and this is one of the best. Dishes are inventive, and super-tasty. Our advice? Don’t miss the lobster kibbeh – an inventive, fun dish.

Al Falamanki
The restaurant first opened in Lebanon in 2008 as a café to transport guests back to 1960s Beirut. Signature dishes include Levantine classics such as fried kibbeh balls with garlic, pine nuts and coriander.

Al Nafoorah
Named after the Arabic word for ‘fountain’, this fine-dining restaurant blends Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine as well as offering a secluded space with an impressive terrace view boasting paroramic views of Dubai.

Ayam Elezz
Kitted out with retro furniture and knick-knacks so it resembles a 1960s Lebanese home, Ayam Elezz provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu features traditional dishes with plenty of grills, breads, salads and mezze.

Em Sherif
There’s no menu here. Instead, you’ll be served about 30 dishes of traditional Lebanese fare, through hot and cold mezze, grills and desserts, plus a bowl of creamy hummus and bread with a tangy helping of fattoush.

Enab Beirut
The bright, colourful interior in this fun, friendly Lebanese spot will make you feel right at home. The menu delivers all the classics – stuffed vine leaves, fattat bazenjan and mezze while a lounge upstairs serves quality shisha.

Reem Al Bawadi
A landmark for Arabic food with 12 locations in the Middle East, this restaurant offers a cosy home for friends to gather and share authentic dishes such as fattoush, chicken taouk, falafel, mezze and shisha.

Zahr El-Laymoun
