Do you sprinkle salt and peppper unnecessarily flamboyantly from afar? Or should you feel the seasoning rub between your fingers and meat?

Do you serve your steak sliced? Or leave it resting ready to be carved bit by bit at the table?

Puzzled? Probably… Now you can finally put those questions to bed with a master butchery lesson by, well, a master butcher.

The Rib Room in Jumeirah Emirates Towers is rolling out carving classes twice a week, every week, this summer.

For just Dhs325 you’ll be given the lowdown on different cuts of meats and be taught the art of handling them with love and care, before slicing away at them in a three-course set lunch.

Every Wednesday and Thursday, before the kitchen opens for its daily service, budding butchers can join the two-hour training session.

So if you’ve always wondered what the chefs secrets are, head to this British steakhouse from 10.30am and find out.

Or, if you don’t have the knife skills but do have an appetite, why not head down to The Rib Room for a normal dinner service.

Relax in its exquisite interiors and intimate atmosphere before tucking into a tasty selection of steaks and meat cuts, including John Stone dry-aged and grass-fed Irish beef, Australian 1824 grain-fed beef and master Kobe wagyu pure-breed cuts.

The restaurant also showcases cheeses from the British Isles, a curated selection of Loch Fyne seafood and some of the finest beverages in Dubai.

Sounds irresistible, doesn’t it?
Dhs325. Wed-Thu 10.30am-12.30pm. Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 432 3232).
