Feast on all things German at Brothaus’ Oktoberfest tent

Expect over a month of food and drink packages in celebration

Why head all the way over to Munich when you have places in Dubai like Brothaus Bakery-Bistro celebrating all things Oktoberfest in a decked out tent?

The bistro and bakery at Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay is setting up a Bavarian-inspired tent in honour of one of Germany’s biggest events, with the culinary team whipping up some traditional grub and serving a host of popular German drinks.

Starting on Saturday September 22 all the way until Wednesday October 31, the tent will feature blue and white drapes hanging from the ceiling, along with plenty of space for families and friends to delight in a host of German banter.

Foodies hungry for a German feast can get food and drink packages starting at Dhs35, while they can also opt for sharing platters of traditional sausages for only Dhs85 along with a bucket of brews for Dhs150.

You can get your chops around münchener weisswurste, Bavaria’s famed white sausages, along with Austria’s traditional apfelstrudel (that's apple strudel if you're not fluent).

It’s Oktoberfest, so of course you have to dress the part, and Brothaus has a strict dress code where guests must wear lederhosen…or smart-casual, but that’s not getting in the swing of things, is it?

The events will take in the evenings, from Saturday to Wednesdays from 6pm until 11pm and Thursday to Friday from 6pm until 1am for all the night owls.

Oktoberfest is taking over Dubai and we couldn’t be happier, with garden on 8 going all out just for the occasion, along with a host of German grub at Grand Hyatt Dubai from Wednesday October 10 and super airport combo deal of pretzels and hops at Dubai International Airport.

We'll see you by the pretzels.
