Carluccio’s launches new vegan menu in Dubai

The popular Italian restaurant chain has a range of plant-based dishes

True, Italian food is often loaded with cheese and butter, but don’t be put off visiting popular Italian chain Carluccio’s, as the brand has a new vegan menu.

And it’s big.

With soups, salads, sides, pastas and desserts, you could eat here every night for a week and have something different.

Dishes on the new menu include mushroom soup with truffle, tomato soup and tomato bruschetta to start. Mains include superfood salad with chargrilled broccoli, kale, lemon-marinated chickpeas, quinoa and chilli and arrabiata pasta. There’s also pineapple carpaccio and lemon sorbet for dessert.

The menu is available at all branches of the chain, including the licensed venue at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel as well as the newest branch at Springs Souk.

Tr!beca Kitchen + Bar in JBR recently launched a vegan menu, too, as well as a brand-new vegan brunch.

Brunchers can expect dishes including carrot tartare – organic carrot “meat” laced with capers, pickles, parsley and vegan “egg yolk”.

There are also vegan burgers on offer, comprised of a bean, onion and carrot patty topped with tofu bacon and vegan chipotle mayo.

Make sure you leave room for dessert and a vegan caramel and banana brownie, washed down with a Go Organic mixed drink.
