Italian food fans, hold on to your cappelli.
Time Out recently brought you news of Alici Dubai, the brand-new Italian seafood restaurant from the group behind Dubai's award-winning Il Borro Tuscan Bistro – and now we've got renderings revealing the interiors, plus details of the menu.
Set over two floors, there's a consistency between the aesthetic of this Bluewaters Island restaurant and bar, and its now established sister restaurant at Jumeirah Al Naseem.
It's a space bathed in neutral shades and heaps of natural light, albeit with citrus trees instead of olive trees, and beachier blues and white-washed wood.
Literally meaning "anchovies", Alici is set to serve up a whole range of stunning (well, if Il Borro is anything to go by) fresh fruits of the sea.
While taking in views of the sea, and no doubt several passing yachts, diners can tuck into a menu including frisella with anchovies and burrata, fine Italian caviar, and a raw Italian seafood platter.
Other options to be featured smoked, salted and dried cod, homemade cavatelli with cuttlefish ragù, and tagliolini with ricci di mare (that's sea urchin).
And it wouldn't be the Amalfi coast without a splash of lemon, from lemon mousse and cheesecake to the legendary Italian drink.
No need to pack your bags for this sunny Italian escape – you'll find it right around the corner.
Opening January 2019. Bluewaters Island, Dubai Marina, www.alici.com.
