Dig into pizzas across the city on Saturday February 9

Where to celebrate Pizza Day in Dubai
Brunswick Eatery, Bar and Terrace

Hot or cold, thick or thinly crusted, with pineapple or not – pizza is something a lot of us simply couldn’t live without, and the time to celebrate its tastiness is right around the corner.

Possibly one of the most underrated celebratory days in the world, Pizza Day (it's a thing) is happening on Saturday February 9, and these restaurants around Dubai are honoring the day with special deals.

Offering pizza-lovers a spin on the famous flatbread from Italy and making traditional versions of the dish, these places are prepared to fill you up with arguably the best comfort food around.

Brunswick Eatery, Bar and Terrace
Mall of the Emirates’ cosy dining spot is firing up its wood pizza oven to offer customers a unique hot pizza with a twist of seafood. For Dhs85, Brunswick Eatery, Bar and Terrace will be dishing out fresh sourdough pizza from its authentic wood pizza fire, with a highlight including the oyster and mushroom pizza with tellegio, thyme, pickled shallot and parmesan cheese – because you can never have enough cheese. The deal goes on throughout Saturday February 9 from noon until 2am, so there’s plenty of time to get your fill of the cheesy carb.
Dhs85. Sat Feb 9, noon-2am. Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Hotel (056 404 0685).

Günaydın Dubai
Since its initial creation in Italy (back in 1889, legend has it), pizza now comes in all different shapes, sizes and styles, and the Turkish are just as famous for their spin on the flatbread. To try it out, Günaydın Dubai will be offering their famous pide from Dhs30 and lahmacun from Dhs24 on Pizza Day. For the meat eaters, lahmacun is the dish for you, as the super thin, crispy Turkish pizza is topped with mixture of minced meat with peppers, tomato, fresh herbs and earthy spices. As for the veggies, tuck in to the vegetarian pide, topped with Mexican beans, mushroom, onion, sweet corn, kashkawal cheese.
From Dhs24 (lahmacun), from Dhs30 (pide). Sat Feb 9, 8.30am-1am. Waterfront Promenade, Souk Al Bahar (04 554 0700).

Kishmish
With the upsurge of vegan dishes in Dubai last year, plant eaters throughout the city have had the chance to dig in to even more food. Kishmish is keeping up that trend for Pizza Day, giving vegans a special Bolani, unique to Afghanistan, for Dhs42. The traditional dish is an unleavened flatbread stuffed with leek or potato, and you can get it on Saturday February 9 at the restaurant over at Al Wasl Mall.
Dhs42. Sat Feb 9, 8am-11pm. Dar Wasl Mall, Al Wasl Road (04 349 6665).
