McGettigan’s throwing the “Ultimate Oscars Brunch Party”

The designer dress, the red carpet interviews, the heart-felt speeches – wouldn’t it be nice to get a taste of the Oscar buzz? Well McGettigan’s in JLT is throwing a bash to rival the Hollywood parties (almost).

The popular Irish bar is hosting a one-off Oscars brunch party for all the hungry cinephiles looking for a place to celebrate the huge annual event.

Taking place on this weekend (Friday February 22), expect the very best cult classics playing in the background throughout the brunch and DJs spinning scores from your favourite films.

Think you could pull off Bradley Cooper’s locks in A Star is Born? Those dressed best as their favourite movie characters are in with a chance to win a bunch of prizes. It’s the Oscars after all, so dress to impress.

The brunch kicks off at 1pm until 5pm starting from Dhs230, but if you’re looking to continue the party, McGettigan’s JLT will also be throwing an after-party straight from 5pm until 8pm, for Dhs199.

Speaking of iconic movies and their amazing musical scores, fans of The Godfather and Harry Potter can watch an orchestra play their scores live while they watch the film at Dubai Opera.

If you can’t get enough of those movie-themed brunches, prepare for a Alice in Wonderland brunch over at the QE2, along with a quirky Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea.

For a real, on decks movie experience, The Titanic will be showing at the Zero Gravity on Sunday February 23.

Movie buffs, you're in luck.
