Welcoming in the weekend with a glass of grape (or two) in hand while nibbling on a delectable selection of cheese is among the classiest of ways to make the worries of the week fade away.

But adding in spectacular terrace views as well as the smooth sounds of a live jazz trio will take your Thursday evening to a whole new level of elegance.

Jones the Grocer at Emirates Golf Club is re-introducing its ever-popular Thursday cheese and grape nights – with guests getting two hours of unlimited selected grapes and fromage for Dhs199.

You can pick any time between 7.30pm-11pm to enjoy this fabulous offer, meaning there’s no need to rush straight from work.

So sit back and relax to the soothing beats of acoustic-driven soul singer Chinua Hawk, who comes to Dubai straight from Atlanta, Georgia after years of touring the world.

Along with two other talented musicians, he'll perform a selection of hits from a wide range of genres.

The Australian restaurant offers wonderful views over the Majlis course from the terrace, while the cheese selection is wide enough to please even the most dedicated of fromage fans.

Guests will be served favourite grape varieties in a refined atmosphere, with options including popular reds and whites.

The experience is paired with the signature friendly service and eclectic style of Jones the Grocer, which originated in Sydney in the mid-90s.

If you prefer to stay inside, then relax on comfortable lounge seating while sampling the cheeses on offer from around the world.

The extensive branch of the Australian food emporium is famous for its cheese rooms with a widespread artisan selection – so you're sure to be in good hands.

So whether you're a fromage fan, looking for a relaxed family atmosphere or just want to hear some excellent smooth jazz, then Emirates Golf Club is the place to start the weekend.
