An afternoon tea is an elegant occasion – but it can be a tricky thing if you’re vegan. Unless you opt for Al Samar Lounge’s special tea.

Jumeirah Mina A’Salam’s classy lounge, is bringing a plant-based spin by offering a vegan-friendly afternoon tea.

Taking place daily from 2.30pm until 6pm, vegan foodies can look forward to hummus and avocado sandwiches, chia bread bruschetta and vegan summer rolls, along with other savoury choices.

As for those with a sweet tooth, expect vegan blueberry cheesecake, coconut mango chia pudding, raw date truffles and vegan scones with freshly made jam and marmalade.

Oh, and don’t forget about the array of teas to choose from.

The unique tea will set you back Dhs189, or Dhs291 for those looking for a glass of bubbly along with it.

Al Samar Lounge offers other afternoon tea options if you’re more of an omnivore, including its Royal Afternoon Tea featuring an assortment of sweet and savoury treats.
