You can now get ‘the most expensive pizza’ in JBR

Think of pizza as a quick and cheap snack or takeaway? Not any more. Luigia in Rixos Premium Dubai is now serving up a pizza that'll see you back nearly Dhs700.

The Italian restaurant in JBR is now offering “the most expensive pizza in JBR”, and we can imagine that claim is true, seeing as it's Dhs660.

The Zarina contains prime ingredients handpicked and imported all the way from the Italy, and the staff have been specially trained to perfect the traditional cheese texture and caviar decoration. Yes, caviar.

It's also topped with steamed potatoes, fresh baby spinach, a robust cauliflower purée, tasty king crab, all rounded off with prime caviar.

“At Luigia, we are committed to bringing our customers a compelling culinary concept that explores traditional Italian fare,” said general manager Antonio Lagrutta.

“Our highly-skilled staff is passionate about creating meals into masterpieces, and we look forward to welcoming clientele from the JBR area and beyond.”

Luigia, which opened last year, was founded by Luigi Guarnaccia and Enrico Coppola, and prides itself on serving “The Best of Italy”, sourcing only the “freshest and best quality ingredients”.

If you’re still saving up for The Zarina, there’s a lengthy menu with plenty of other tasty sounding pizzas, along with calzones, pastas (bolognaise, meatballs, pesto et el), salads and a range of traditional desserts (think profiteroles and more).

If you’re after other fancy Italian eating spots, check out Time Out Dubai's Restaurant Awards winners, as one of them even includes our restaurant of the year.

It's time to start saving up.
