'Design and dine' iftar with an art class at BiCE Ristorante

There’s any number of iftars going on across the month and now you can get creative at the same time.

BiCE Ristorante is hosting a special one-off event where diners can create their own work of art under the guidance of acclaimed artist Gemma Gallagher.

The design and dine iftar will take place on Tuesday May 21 and is suitable for artists and amateurs of all levels.

Paints, a canvas and all other materials will be provided – while award-winning artist Gallagher will be on hand throughout the session to provide expert tips and advice.

The iftar will be prepared by Chef Davide and will include the likes of panzanella, vine leaves, roasted smocked eggplant paste, succulent arancini and juicy samosas to get things started.

Pasta kiosks will be serving up penne arrabbiata and gnocchi sorrentina while main courses will include grilled chicken breast, truffle potato mash, slow roasted lamb leg and oven-baked seabass filet.

If you’re looking for another unique way to break your fast this Ramadan, then head to City Walk where you can enjoy an iftar pop up from the team behind EAT Catering.

Crescent Nights incorporates local Emirati favourites with a twist, and the set menu will be available from sunset every day of the week.

Dishes include grass-fed Angus meatball fatteh, thyme-infused roasted free-range chicken with lemon, saffron and pistachio pancakes and maple date cake.

There will also be Ramadan juices, lentil, roasted pumpkin or minestrone soup and appetisers including slow-cooked lentil salad with macaroni, pomegranate and crispy onions.
