It’s a time for sharing, socialising and generosity – with gatherings for iftar and suhoor encapsulating family moments across the month.

At Palace Downtown, opposite Burj Khalifa and next door to the Souk Al Bahar overlooking The Dubai Fountains, there are a number of outlets offering up tremendous deals over the course of Ramadan, giving you a range of options for spending iftar and suhoor with your loved ones.

Iftar and suhoor at the Ewaan Ramadan Tent
This huge tent is designed to reflect the location’s classic architectural design, giving the tent a traditional feel. From sunset through until 9pm every day you’ll be able to enjoy a range of Middle Eastern and international classics from the buffet for Dhs255 per person, with live oud music played through the evening.

Then, from 10pm until 2am on weekdays and until 3am at weekends, suhoor takes place for Dhs170 per person, where you can spend the evenings in the tent and its garden dining on classic Arabic dishes.

A South American iftar experience at Asado
Meanwhile at Asado, the South American steakhouse, you can enjoy an alternative iftar experience and a specially curated menu befitting the restaurant’s Argentinian heritage. For Dhs225 per person, you’ll be able to try an unlimited set menu from sunset until 9pm.

A Thai iftar at Thiptara
This award-winning Thai restaruant will be home to what Palace Downtown describes as an “intriguing iftar” this month. Set out into Burj Lake, you’ll be able to experience a range of different dishes from the region, with a daily iftar set menu taking place between sunset and 9pm. For Dhs225 per person you’ll get unlimited food and soft drinks across the evening.

À la carte suhoor at Buhayra Lounge
At this poolside hangout you can unwind in what Palace Downtown is describing as a tranquil experience in a quintessentially Arabian al fresco location. Enjoy lakeside cabanas and an à la carte suhoor throughout the evening. Shisha is also available.

Iftar at Fai
With stunning views of the Burj Khalifa, you can break your fast and bring in a new day by the glistening waters at this relaxed lounge with an à la carte suhoor from 10pm daily. Food is inspired from across the Asian region, so expect an eclectic mix.

Iftar and suhoor at the Royale Ballroom
Finally, if you’re planning a large gathering this month, this ballroom is able to hold up to 250 people for iftar (from sunset until 9pm) or suhoor (from 10pm until 2am). There are late-night views of the Burj Lake from the ballroom’s outdoor terrace, and its own dedicated entrance for your guests.
