Huge tapas festival coming to Dubai

World Tapa Day 2019 will see a six-restaurant celebration across the city

Huge tapas festival coming to Dubai

Have you got a penchant for patatas bravas and pimiento peppers? Are you crackers for croquetas? Always chasing chorizo?

Well (and we’re done with the alliteration now, promise), then mark Thursday June 20 in your calendar for the arrival of una grande fiesta de tapas – also known as World Tapa Day.

Across the evening, from 5pm until 11pm, there will be a free bus service that connects no-less-than six Dubai restaurants. The chefs from each restaurant will be creating a special set of dishes on a dedicated menu for the day, and will connect restaurants across the city.

Taking part in the event will be Bebemos at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre in Garhoud, Seville’s at Wafi Mall, BOCA in DIFC, Alhambra in Jumeirah Al Qasr, El Sur at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina and Salero at Kempinski Mall of the Emirates.

The bus will take you round all night, and is completely free of charge, but there is limited capacity so it’s first come first served. Alternatively, you can get a 30 percent discount by using the code “tapaday” on Careem.

This is one that’s not to be missed.

Prices vary. Thu Jun 20, 5pm-11pm. Various locations including DIFC and Mall of the Emirates, www.maec.es.
