Looking for lazy summer afternoons with a Mediterranean vibe? Want to travel the world but neither have the time nor dirhams?

Villamoré on the Palm is aiming to help this in a small way, by laying on a culinary adventure, where you’ll get to try dishes from different sunny destinations each week.

The chilled-out restaurant at Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai picked up a Highly Commended award for Best Casual Newcomer at Time Out Dubai’s Restaurant Awards. Set right by the beach it boasts top lazy day vibes.

The Mediterranean Summer Series kicks off on Saturday June 1 and will run until Monday September 30, promising diners “four sizzling months of Riviera-style glamour”.

The tour kicks off with a virtual trip to Nice in the South of France, followed by Greek island Mykonos, Italy’s Capri and finally Turkey’s Bodrum.

The limited edition eight-course tasting menu comes in at Dhs325 and will change every month to reflect the country.

Dishes on the first menu, from Nice, include ratatouille, bouillabaisse and, of course, Niçoise salad. There will also be a chickpea crêpe with Niçoiseolive tapenade and goat’s cheese with fresh figs Manuka honey and mint.

We can’t wait to get travelling without packing our suitcases.
Dhs325. Daily noon-1am. Jun 1-Sep 31. Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai, Palm Jumeirah (04 248 8890).
