Tasca launches new Friday brunch

What’s better than brunch? Brunch by a Michelin-starred chef, of course.

Tasca, from acclaimed chef José Avillez opened at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai earlier this year. And the Portuguese restaurant has now launched a Friday brunch, which is running for the first time this weekend (Friday June 21).

The chef has 19 restaurants under his belt, including Michelin-starred Belcanto in Lisbon, and Tasca is his first international venture.

The menu leans heavily towards the ocean, with the likes of tuna tartare, fish and an array of shellfish (look out for the grilled scarlet shrimp), styled in a small plates and sharing arrangement, so we’re hopeful of more of the same when it comes to brunch.
There’s set to be tasting menu, which comes in at Dhs400 with house drinks, along with some live music to keep the vibe upbeat.

And alongside the food, there are also the views to look forward to, as the restaurant boasts vistas of Burj Khalifa and the Downtown Dubai skyline.
