Sunday July 14 is Bastille Day (the national day of France) and in honour of all things French, we’ve got some très bien deals for you.

Bistro Des Arts
What better way to celebrate Bastille Day than with a happy hour at a quaint French bistro. Head to Bistro des Arts from 5.30pm until 7pm and get select drinks for Dhs29 which you can also pair with a cheese and meat platter for Dhs99. If you’re craving a proper French meal, there’s a summer set menu from 7pm onwards for Dhs150 that includes French classics such as traditional onion soup, duck confit and a “floating island” (a meringue floating on vanilla custard) for dessert. Délicieuse.

This award-winning spot (it won Best European at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant 2019) is offering up a whole weekend of Bastille Day celebrations. Head down on Thursday July 11 and Sunday July 14 from 7pm onwards for a live performance from French singer Annabelle Veltri, who will also be accompanied by DJ Julien on the Sunday evening. The popular spot has also recently introduced a pergola to its terrace for the summer so you needn’t worry about sitting outside. Make sure you go hungry – the food is here is top-notch.

Couqley French Bistro
In celebration of Bastille Day, this quaint French bistro in JLT is serving up a limited edition dessert – the dôme croustillant choco-framboise (try saying that fast), which translates to crispy chocolate-raspberry dome. Expect to sample raspberry-flavoured mousse, coated in dark chocolate and sitting on a bed of crispy chocolate. What better way to celebrate France than with chocolate? The indulgent-sounding dessert comes in at Dhs47 and diners also get a free mini French onion soup with every meal ordered on the day.

The Grape Escape
The fête goes on for four days at this bar tucked inside the Hilton Dubai The Walk. From Thursday July 11 to Sunday July 14 you can enjoy unlimited servings of raclette, cheese fondue, various cheeses and meats along with a glass of grape for Dhs129 per person. Mais oui.
