If there was ever a time to be vegan in Dubai, it’s now.

Last week Ronda Locatelli revealed it had added nine new dishes to its already-huge vegan menu (hello, vegan cheese).

MINA Brasserie also launched a special menu for “meat-free Mondays”, and this week another Dubai restaurant has a launched a vegan menu.

Pan-Asian eatery, Lah Lah, in the trendy Zabeel House by Jumeirah, has added a whopping 13 plant-based dishes to its menu. And they all sound delicious.

Highlights include a pomelo salad with dried coconut, peanuts, fried onions and coriander, a Thai green mango salad with fresh mango, green papaya and chilli, and a green papaya salad with tomato, apple, cashew nuts and a tamarind dressing.

Heartier options include a vegetable green curry with tofu, Thai aubergine, Thai basil and mushrooms, and lastly, wok-fried tofu with onions, peppers, green peppercorn, baby corn served in an oyster mushroom sauce.

If you’re dining with a meat-loving mate, they can choose between popular dishes like pandan chicken, jumbo prawns and chicken wings in a “secret sauce”.

“It’s not just a trend but a lifestyle for many and we’re keen to present our authentic pan-Asian specials with a line-up of vegan creations,” said Rosnani Natsir Hasan, head chef of Lah Lah.
