Five posh Knockout Burgers to try

If you’re the kind of diner that would rather have truffle on your burger than a dollop of mayo, then read on.

In honour of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, Time Out Abu Dhabi brings you Knockout Burgers. For two weeks, restaurants across the city are laying on special limited-edition burger creations, cut-price deals and more.

And we’ve rounded up five of the fanciest burgers we could find for you to dig into (delicately, of course, with a knife and fork maybe). Whether you want slivers of truffle carpaccio, mustard mayonnaise or country-aged cheddar, there’s a patty with your name on it.

Knockout Burgers runs through Abu Dhabi Showdown Week when the capital will host UFC 242, and finishes on Saturday September 7, so it’s there’s time to work your way through these deals. Get planning. For a whole list of burgers available, click here.

Bentley Kitchen
With this deal you can enjoy a loaded wagyu burger and parmesan fries for less than Dhs90. The 200g patty is layered with loads of delicious toppings, including maple bacon, fried eggs, potato crisps, lettuce, truffle carpaccio, tomatoes and cheese. It’s looks and sounds beyond incredible.
Dhs89. The Galleria, Al Maryah Island (02 626 2131).

Oak Room
This cool steakhouse has come up with a super deal for Showdown Week. For Dhs100 you’ll get the Oak Room burger (topped with mustard mayonnaise, pickles, battered onion rings and smoked cheddar) and a bottle of the hotel chain’s own-brand hops. Brilliant.
Dhs100. The Abu Dhabi EDITION, Al Bateen (02 208 0000).

Oléa
This upmarket restaurant has a perfect spot on Saadiyat Island. During Showdown Week you can get a grilled beef burger with turkey bacon, cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise and sliced pickled beetroot plus a pint of hops for Dhs110. We reckon that’s worth heading out to the island for.
Dhs110. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi (02 498 8888).

Stills Restaurant & Bar
Head to Stills on Yas Island to get your hands on its Signature Wagyu Burger for Dhs99, instead of the usual Dhs135. This hearty handful features a 100 percent wagyu patty, grilled onions, mushrooms, country-aged cheddar, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and ketchup, all wedged within a soft, sesame bun. Bosh.
Dhs99. Crowne Plaza Yas Island (02 656 3066).

The Manhattan Lounge
Head to this stylish lounge and pick up a super burger loaded with braised brisket, coleslaw, shallots, barbecue sauce, parsley and chives. It’s joined by a skewer of cherry tomatoes and gherkins, plus a bottle of hops for less than Dhs100.
Dhs95. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi (02 498 8443).
