Famed British chef Jason Atherton coming to Dubai

Famed British chef Jason Atherton is coming back to Dubai, and will be hosting a trio of events at his Dubai Marina restaurant.

Atherton is returning to town next week and will be in the kitchen of Dubai’s Marina Social. And get in quick if you want to be cooked for by the acclaimed chef.

On Wednesday September 25 the chef is hosting a special five-course tasting menu, for Dhs495, where there will be both non-vegan and vegan menus to try.

Meanwhile on Thursday there’s a special steak night where you’ll get meat cuts paired with sauces and sides from Dhs295.

More a fan of brunch? The Social Brunch is being relaunched with Atherton himself on Friday September 27, so expect classic British dishes, live music and free-flowing drinks from Dhs290.

Since his flagship restaurant Pollen Street Social launched in London’s Mayfair in 2011 (casually gaining a Michelin star within six months of opening), he’s set up restaurants in Sydney, the Philippines, Hong Kong, New York and, of course, right here in Dubai. Marina Social celebrates its fourth birthday this year, too.

Want to know more about the British chef? Check out our interview here. We also had Atherton on our podcast, The Big Listen, talking about what attracts celebrity chefs to Dubai – so tune in here.
Prices vary. From Wed Sep 25-Fri Sep 27. InterContinental Dubai Marina (04 446 6664).
