Vegetarian or vegan in Dubai? Spice Island is hosting a special meat-free feast in honour of World Vegetarian Day next month.

And the best news? It’s a total bargain at Dhs139 with house beverages.

The Veggie Tables event will be held at the Deira restaurant on Monday October 7, from 6.30pm until 11.30pm, and will be fully vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.

There will be more than 50 dishes on offer, including salads, soups and mains from Asia, Italy, India and the Middle East. There will also be three live cooking stations where you can get dishes including Mongolian grills, homemade falafel wraps or pasta. Love pizza? There’s plenty of that too.

And there’s a special section for vegans with dishes including okra bil salsa, dal curry, fried rice, stuffed peppers, grilled aubergine with spinach and tomato sauce and desserts.
