Thanksgiving Dubai 2019: Where to get turkey takeaway

Whether you’re setting up for a big Canadian Thanksgiving this October, celebrating a full-on Yankee-style or already making plans for that big family Christmas feast, only one meal can do them all justice – turkey.

Wondering where to get the traditional festive feast, takeaway or dine-in? Top spots around Dubai are already offering whole turkeys with all the trimmings, fully prepared and delivered straight to your door. Convenient, eh?

Have a gander at the list below and prepare to loosen that belt, it’s time to dine (and be thankful, of course).

Clinton St. Baking Company
The New York specialist bakery and restaurant will be offering a traditional Thanksgiving menu, boasting a variety of festive sides, baked goods, desserts and whole Turkeys.

All the way until New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving celebrators can order a whole roasted turkey with all the trimmings for Dhs625, along with a selection of seasonal sides to go along with it.

As for those looking to dine in, expect a plated turkey dinner for Dhs150, with carved roasted turkey, three pieces from the breast and three pieces from the leg, served with mashed potato, homemade gravy, truffled brussel sprouts, maple glazed carrots and more.

There’s also a whole turkey dinner that serves eight to 12 people for Dhs1,200 – Thanksgiving is all about family and friends, after all. Dine-in menus will be available for lunch and dinner on Monday October 14 (Canadian Thanksgiving) and Thursday November 28 (American Thanksgiving).
Dhs150 (dine-in, single portion), Dhs1,200 (dine-in, whole turkey), Dhs625 (takeaway). Until Tue Dec 31. Open daily 8am-midnight. Al Mustaqbal Street, City Walk, (04 344 0705).

The French bar and restaurant in JLT is offering the ‘Ultimate Thanksgiving’ with both dine-in and takeaway turkey feast menus, and its available throughout the winter holidays.

That means Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday October 14, American Thanksgiving on Thursday November 28 and of course all the days throughout Christmas.

Until January 15, 2020, celebrators of any occasion can expect a traditional turkey with wild mushroom stuffing, with sides including roasted Brussels sprouts topped with veal bacon, sweet potato gratin, potato purée, fresh sautéed string beans, roasted baby carrots, cranberry coulis, and rosemary turkey gravy.
Dhs119 (dine-in, single portion), from Dhs449 (dine-in, whole turkey), from Dhs359 (takeaway, whole turkey). Open Sun-Mon noon-1am, Fri-Sat noon-2am. Cluster A, JLT, (04 514 9339).

From creating gravy and cranberry sauce from scratch to stuffing the turkey, there’s a lot of effort that goes into making a hefty Thanksgiving dinner this year. Well, Deliveroo in Dubai wants to take the stress out of all that.

Partnering up with modern eatery Baker & Spice, the food delivery company will be delivering customisable Thanksgiving dinners to celebrators from Monday November 25 until Saturday November 30.
Dhs129. Mon Nov 25-Sat Nov 30.

Duck Hook
Whether it’s a British roast turkey dinner you’re after or a takeaway roast beef to tuck into at home, Duck Hook over in Dubai Hills Golf Club has you covered.

For a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, order up a par-cooked boneless turkey breast and stuffed legs with all the trimmings, desserts, mince pies and crackers, with options for two people starting from Dhs399 through to takeaways for ten people at Dhs1,399.

Prefer beef? There’s roasted fore-ribs of beef with Yorkshire puddings, horseradish cream and all the trimmings alongside dessert, mince pies and crackers.

It wouldn’t be a Canadian all-day dining restaurant if it didn’t celebrate ‘Jour de l'Action de grâce’ (Canadian Thanksgiving), an Eggspectation has just the treat.

On Monday October 14, branches in JBR and City Walk will be offering quirky and traditional ‘Beaver Tails’ to every table that orders a main completely for free. Don’t fret, not actual beaver tails.

Named after the national animal of Canada, this popular dessert offers stretched pieces of fried dough, served with a variety of toppings. Eggspectation will be offering beaver tails topped with Philadelphia cream cheese spread, fresh strawberries and drizzled honey.
Free (beaver tail). Mon Oct 14, times vary. Various locations including The Beach, JBR; Al Safa Street, City Walk,

Perry & Blackwelder’s
A Thanksgiving feast at Dubai’s original smokehouse? Expect quite a few meaty dishes with this one. Perry & Blackwelder’s is hosting a special do on Thursday November 28 from noon onwards, featuring an all-American two-course menu and live entertainment throughout the day.

As for the mains to get stuck into, there’s slow smoked turkey with cornbread stuffing, turkey gravy and cranberry sauce; beef hotpot cooked up with braised beef, meat gravy, roasted root vegetables and served with flaky pastry, or Cajun spiced blackened salmon layered with red pepper cream sauce.

Always make room for dessert, especially if there’s sweet potato pie, pecan pie with whipped cream, apple pie or chocolate brownie banana split on the menu.

Dining at home instead? No need to cook, as P&B has a festive turkey kit from Dhs399 prepared by award-winning resident chef Christopher Kinsley. A great American turkey dinner awaits.

For takeaways, be sure to email or call 05 578 13244 to place your order.
