Avillez will be showcasing dishes from different regions in Portugal at his Dubai restaurant Tasca, which can be found at the swish Mandarin Oriental Jumeira on Tuesday February 11 and Wednesday February 12.

The eight-course menu will feature some of Avillez’ most popular dishes from his restaurants including his flagship Belcanto in Lisbon, which currently holds two Michelin stars.

Highlights on the specially-curated set menu include “exploding” olives, roasted octopus with sweet potato and a garlic-kimchi sauce, giant grilled shrimps served with black rice with beef chorizo and a lemon mayonnaise.

There's also fillet steak with a special sauce, a lemon and lime “globe” with a yuzu foam, and a creamy raspberry cheesecake with basil.
