Elena Duggan, the winner of MasterChef Australia 2017 will be hosting a special, limited-time dinner at Dubai Marina’s MasterChef The TV Experience.
For three days from Tuesday February 18 until Thursday 20, foodies can expect Duggan’s all-inclusive ‘approach to life’, reflected in a five-course flexi-menu where every course is adaptable to diners’ gluten-free or vegetarian requests.
The five-course dinner features a list of traditional Australian flavours and ingredients, kicking off with an amuse-bouche of lavender goats’ cheese and beetroot relish with Aussie dukkha.
Next up, there's a choice of starters using natural fruits instead of refined sugar. Foodies can opt for the octopus and mandarins (black olive crumb, fresh oregano, mandarin gel) or textures of strawberry (pickled, dehydrated and freeze-dried strawberries, strawberry gel, almonds, watercress, Yarra Valley Australian feta).
As for mains, expect roasted pumpkin and burrata or Duggan’s ‘older sibling’ of the quail and grapes dish that got her into the MasterChef Australia 2017 final, duck and grapes (duck magret, Muscat grapes, verjuice, sunchoke hummus).
Finish off on a sweet note with three of Elena’s favourite summer flavours in watermelon, pineapple and ginger form an amuse guile to cleanse the palate. Last but not least, try the famed fig, chocolate, wattleseed and macadamia dessert.
Duggan, after winning the Australian edition of the hit TV series, has been promoting a gluten-free lifestyle while hosting scores of live cooking demos and shows.
Each dinner sitting will kick off from 7pm until 11pm, and the whole five-course menu is priced at Dhs329.
