DOORS Freestyle Grill celebrates first anniversary with some culinary theatre

DOORS Freestyle Grill at Al Seef is celebrating its first anniversary by adding new dishes to its menu, along with live cooking by diners’ tables and even levitating plates.

With modern technology, the restaurant’s culinary experts use magnets and nitrogen to make more than 70 dishes of its dishes from the new menu levitate. We’re starting to feel like The Jetsons.

Open daily from 1pm until 1am, the menu now includes new meat and seafood dishes, with a highlight including the new caviar bread dumpling, with potato espuma, enoki mushroom, beetroot puree, garlic confit and quail eggs served on dry ice.

There’s also the beef tartare, with sesame sponge, butter, potato espuma, torched beef, and quail egg yolk, along with slow-cooked lamb rack.

As for seafood, foodies can tuck into the salt-baked seabass, with spring onion, ginger, lemon and garlic sauce, king prawns tossed in butter, garlic, red chili and DOORS’ special sauce, and finally the butterfall fish with butter, honey, orange juice, red chilli and lime juice.

Diners can also expect a list of new mocktails on the menu pre-pared at Doors’ ‘Mixology Lab’, boasting the baharatli mango, made with mango, cranberry, jala-peno, mint and spiced togarashi, along with the silk road, made with a delicious combination of spices and berries including cardamom, blueberry, blackberry and more.

“The whole outlook is one to awaken the senses and impress the most discerning tastes. We believe in creating a dining experience that taps into all the senses and offers guests both the best in taste, quality and entertainment all wrapped up into one here at DOORS,” said head chef Kemal Çéylan.
