Ever wonder how the Romans used to spend their afternoons? Well, it was with a spot of tea, and if you’re looking to follow footsteps of them, Caesars Bluewaters Dubai has just the offer.

Head on a journey exploring the exotic ingredients uncovered on Caesar's odyssey with the Caesars Imperial Afternoon Tea. Inspired by the Roman Empire, this experimental treat pays homage to dishes across Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Taking place every day from 2pm until 6pm, guests can choose from two prime locations, including at Roman Lounge in Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and The Piazza in Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai.

Start off with all-things savoury, with finger sandwiches on artisan bread including ‘Brie De Meaux’, a rich creamy brie with a sweet, tangy fig compote and nutty hazelnut crumb.

That’s not all, as there’s also ‘Spiced Chicken’, a slow poached corn-fed chicken, marinated in aromatic North African spices and finished with a tomato, grape, mint and mustard jam, along with ‘Baba Ghanoush’, smokey wood-fired aubergine layered between Arabic Khubz crispbread paired with pickled carrot and cucumber, topped with a scattering of toasted sesame seeds and pomegranate.

For those with a sweet tooth, prepare to indulge in an array of sweet delights. Make room for ‘The David Tower’, a creamy hazelnut cremeux and Spanish fig compote wrapped in a brandy snap casing embedded on a chocolate biscuit plinth.

There’s also the ‘Coconut and Mango Sphere’, an African cacao chocolate sphere with a sweet mango centre encased in light coconut cream dacquoise topped with a delicious chocolate sundial.

Last but certainly not least, the ‘Strawberry and Crème’ with fresh strawberry jam and Devonshire clotted cream within a light Victoria sponge, along with a white chocolate base and strawberry marzipan finishing. Yum!

Would it really be an afternoon tea without warm, buttery, freshly baked scones? Of course not, and you can expect some of the best at Caesars Bluewaters Dubai, all served with homemade strawberry jam, zesty lemon curd, rose petal and gold-leaf jelly, as well as Devonshire clotted cream.
