New food delivery app FoodKarma launches in Dubai

If you’re an environmentally-conscious foodie, it’s worth checking out this brand-spanking-new Dubai-based food delivery app.

The new app, FoodKarma, has partnered with restaurants and cafés across the city that have a surplus of food and connects them eco-conscious foodies, enabling them to enjoy tasty meals at discounted prices, all while doing their bit to help save the planet.

Cutting down on food waste by just 15 percent would have the same impact on CO2 emissions as taking 150,000 cars off the road and the new app is helping Dubai residents do just that, by ordering food that would otherwise go to waste.

Discounts start at 15 percent and can go all the way to a whopping 60 percent with restaurants like Appetite, Cooloo Tamam, the health-conscious Ultra Brasserie and vegan-friendly Wild & The Moon already on-board.

The free app is available via the App Store or Google Play and new offers start each day from 11am onwards.
