This trendy café-meets-concept store serves up an array of healthy dishes, with the majority being plant-based, raw and gluten-free. Love desserts? Don’t leave without trying the choco petit pot – a rich and creamy chocolate mousse topped with roasted hazelnuts – it’s hard to believe it’s not only vegan-friendly but refined sugar-and gluten-free too..

Everything is fresh, tasty and healthy – plus there are loads of vegan and gluten-free options too on the menu at this cute Dubai Marina café. It picked up a Highly Commended in our Best Breakfast in Dubai 2020 category and dishes on the (puntastic) breakfast menu include Bravacado – smashed avocado on gluten-free bread.

Who needs plates when you can tuck into a beautiful bowl of brightly coloured vegetables? Bowlful offers healthy gluten-free meals served on a bed of whole grain, with top picks including the Arabian-inspired Fairuz, which features organic quinoa mix, steamed carrots, hummus and baked falafel all mixed together with baked baby courgette and steamed carrots. Also popular is The Buddha, which is not only pleasing to look at but also wholesome with its combination of cauliflower rice, seasoned chickpeas, baked butternut squash, kale, avocado and pomegranate.

This gluten-free restaurant and delivery from wellness blogger Gbemi Giwa has dishes nfluenced by her Nigerian roots and interest in healthy living. The menu at Catfish isn’t huge but the selection is top-notch, including for vegans – if it has a V next to it on the menu, you’re good to go. Coeliac? All dishes are 100 percent gluten-free, too. There’s a range of bowls, grills, soups and salads, all packed full of flavour and it’s an interesting choice if you want to try something a bit different. Catfish’s food is fresh, flavourful and fun, and it’ll soon be on your speed dial. Don’t miss the Wrestler’s Choice made up of sticky jerk mushrooms, grilled plantain, guacamole, salad leaves and the smokiest jollof rice you’ll ever encounter. Gluten-free and delicious? We're on board with that.

Little Erth by Nabz & G

Vegans are exceptionally well catered for at Little Erth by Nabz & G, a cute little restaurant in JLT, but there are also top dishes for gluten-free diners in Dubai too. The macronutrients and calories are listed on the menu, while there are also symbols for vegan and gluten-free. Gluten-free dishes include soups, salads and fish dishes. And the good news? It’s all healthy and low-calorie too.
