The majority of Dubai’s vegetarian restaurants serve predominantly Indian food, so anybody looking for more variety and proactively healthy dishes should check out this JLT concept. All dishes clock in at less than 500 calories, and that is the main selling point. We can’t deny that some of the flavour that makes restaurant food so special comes from the extra cream, butter and diet-busting extras that chefs like to add. Their omission here clearly makes the food healthier, but by its nature, a little blander too. Having said that, the rice noodles with veggie chilli sauce and balti potatoes with aubergines has a gratifying kick, and a selection of salads make for good options if you’re purposefully striding around JLT on an exercise regime. A 130-calorie cheesecake and 98-calorie brownie are also worthy of a mention, as are the collection of appetisers ideal for guilt-free between-meal snacking.
