Time Out Says
While the downstairs area is on the quiet side, the terrace area upstairs – which boasts stunning views of the Creek – is buzzing in cooler months.
And the menu at this Lebanese joint is extremely far ranging. From hot and cold mezze, flatbread pizzas, burgers, salads, grill items and even sushi, you’ll be inundated with options. We opt for a bit of everything (for research), and prepare to stuff our faces.
The beef kofta in cherry sauce is perfectly tender, with a rich, fruity dark sauce. It sits a bit heavy, but doesn’t slow us down for the totally moreish fattoush. And the waffle with hummus, chicken, avocado and tomatoes is a novel dish you should try.
While the margherita flatbread is a perfectly adequate table filler (but not a knockout), it’s worth saving room for some pickable grub from the sushi menu. Think nigiri, maki and more – including temaki rice cones, of which the salmon and avocado variation is a real treat.
Later on, the party kicks in, so it’s worth staying around and enjoying the cool vibe. In all, this is a great place for a bit of whatever you fancy.
The bottom line
Take your pick, kick back and enjoy.
