And, if you love dosas, you’re in luck. There’s a huge list of filled versions, including butter roast, onion masala, veg manchurian, cheese, rocket and coriander podi. There are also plenty of South Indian tiffin dishes, too, as well as curries and rotis. There’s even a selection of Chinese dishes (spring rolls, hot and sour soup et al) if you’re after something different.
You’ll struggle to find many dishes costing more than Dhs25, so you can be sure of a budget feed. There aren’t many special features here, staff are efficient (there’s no hanging around) and you’ll get a rapid, tasty meal.
But the hearty, wholesome vegetarian food is enjoyable. The dahl fry is a particular highlight, with a lovely creamy texture. Don’t miss out on the five taste uthappam, either – a snack made with batter and topped with various ingredients including onion and cheese, making them perfect for sharing.
