Time Out Says
But while we’re not blown away by the kitchen’s creations, it certainly wouldn’t put us off a return visit. The food essentially consists of bar snacks to go along with drinks, rather than anything to head out for especially. There are tapas dishes featuring ingredients such at yuca and plantain, or spicy beef, done Cuban style.
So, you can get plantain crackers topped with Cuban beef or prawns and pineapple (we order the latter, and they’re the highlight), plantain topped with guacamole and melted cheese (we order this but it doesn’t arrive), Cuban beef in a croquette-style deep-fried ball (we don’t order these but they come, and are pretty good), empanadas with Cuban beef and more riffs on the same theme (we’re sure you’re getting the picture by now).
But, the vibe is good, the band are excellent and it’s something different for Dubai, and that, we like.
The Bottom Line
A cool place to chill and listen to live music.
