Cucina Mia Restaurant - JBR

Time Out Says
Step inside Italian restaurant Cucina Mia and you can expect to find a miniscule indoor dining space with fake stone walls, decorated like some sort of Dubai-style diorama of rural Italy. Aside from this, Cucina boasts a very pleasant outdoor dining area. Service, sadly, can be described as a little slow and inefficient, but the food just about makes up for this. The beef carpaccio arrives as a mountainous portion, generously dressed with rocket leaves, while the burrata is beautifully creamy. Pizza, however, is the standout, especially the bresaola, rocket and parmesan option, which has a crisp yet doughy base, rustically adorned with fresh ingredients. Cucina Mia is no fine dining haunt, but it is a pleasant spot (provided the weather is good enough to sit outside) and it marks an affordable option. Quite simply, the food is good in a sort of distinctly homely style and appears to be a hit with the local neighbourhood.
