This friendly Mexican chain has Tex-Mex covered to a T: portions are big, service is swift (almost irritatingly so) and staff are friendly. Be careful not to fill up on free corn chips and salsa prior to your meal, otherwise you’ll struggle to fit in the whole enchilada. With a few twists of a lemon and some impressive handywork, the guacamole is made right in front of your eyes at the table. The avocado dip is chunky and oniony, while the baked potatoes come with a selection of toppings, including creamy cheese sauce, minced meat, refried beans, pico de gallo and sour cream. The usual mains are on offer, including tacos and burritos, and the gluten-intolerant among us have the choice to opt for corn tortillas instead. The combination fajita tends to be lacking in the meat department, but the corn tortilla beef tacos come with large slices of steak underneath a slick slice of avocado.
