Rodeo Grill & Bar - Dubai
Time Out Says
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011Nestled beside the huge atrium in Al Bustan Rotana, this sleek, elegant venue belies its Wild West name. The usual steakhouse staples are present, from the dark-wood décor to the fiery open kitchen dominating one end of the restaurant, while staff are friendly and efficient, if a little lacking in personality. Yet the menu offers a glimpse of Rodeo’s ambitions: alongside the usual cuts of aged US steak and wagyu sit more unusual options, with creative sauces and interesting combinations that help to lift this above your usual American meat emporium. Indeed, the restaurant has been pushing its culinary credentials of late, flying in a host of Michelin-starred chefs for special events. We suppose we shouldn’t be surprised, then, that prices seem on the high side, even for a venue of this quality – a trait that’s all too common among Dubai’s steakhouses. Meat lovers will doubtless be impressed; thrifty types should probably steer clear.
