Time Out Says
But don’t turn your nose up – instead, follow it to this brilliant little bar on the eastern wing of Palm Jumeirah’s The Pointe.
Set on the uppaer level, overlooking (as most everything here does) the waters across to Atlantis The Palm, A Cappella comes from the indisputably genius minds behind Dubai’s multi-award-winning Trèsind and Carnival by Trèsind.
And it shows.
A mixed drinks menu bounces around the continents, and the brilliant-value menu follows suit.
Spend some time digesting a nomadic menu of dishes inspired by different countries and regions, including India, Italy, the US, the UK, China, Mexico, Spain, Japan and the Middle East, before ordering by metaphorical spin of the globe.
(Oh go on, we dare you.)
There’s an Indian inflection to almost everything, and it works. Japanese tandoori lamb chops? Marinated in spicy shichimi soy? Sounds bananas. Tastes brilliant.
Pulled chicken tacos, naan ‘Françoise’, pepperoni turnovers... And what would a Best Bar Food winner be without brilliant mini burgers and seriously banging chicken wings? Merely shortlisted, that’s what.
Check your snootiness, and check A Cappella out.
WHAT IS IT...
Award-winning bar food from the minds behind Trèsind. Great views, too
