A mediocre attempt at fine French standards let down this JBR eatery

Time Out Says

Misleadingly, AOC French Brasserie takes its name from the French mark of quality and authenticity in food and beverages, that is highly sought after in the country. Sadly, the restaurant deserves little of this attempt to spuriously push itself into any premium French limelight. While the restaurant has a pleasant terrace, and the interior is not offensively decorated, the restaurant lacks character and ambience. Service is inefficient, at times appallingly slow, and sometimes even quite rude.

Those who explore the á la carte menu are unlikely to find great value or high quality in it. The presentation and description of dishes on the menu hint at a little ambition to be producing fine and modern French cooking. Sadly, in reality, the preparation of these dishes is limp, uninspiring and not particularly enjoyable. Since the venue runs regular weekly theme nights and buffets, which appear to pull in some customers, we'd suggest that if you absolutely must dine here, the theme nights may well be a better option.
