Time Out Says
Found on 2nd December Street in Satwa, Al Mallah is the combination of a whole bunch of brilliant, budget friendly recipes. Top of the list, straight out of the blocks, is the chicken shawarma – it’s mind-blowingly delicious, with a flavoursome and not-too-oozy garlic sauce that’ll keep you coming back – and at less than Dhs10 per portion it’s one of the top ways of eating like an absolute king on a humble jester’s budget.
If you’re after something refreshing, get your hands on one of the restaurant’s fully-loaded juices. It’s perhaps less juice, and more chunks of fresh fruit all stirred together with some frozen yoghurt.
Al Mallah claims it has zero calories – and if that is somehow true, we’d consider this a cracking replacement for going to the gym.
This should be near the top of your list – it’s been on ours for years, and that’s not changing any time soon.
