Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
The MO here is traditional sugary Arabic sweeties. It has an almost European décor – including Art Deco-style chairs, dark wooden tables – and the plates of goodies laid out on a giant table with glass covers make you instantly revert to kid-in-a- candy-store mode, wanting to try them all. The service is friendly and the selection is vast, with everything from baklawas to petit four cookies – and even if you’re not down pat with your Arabic dessert names, you’ll be tantalised by the variety of cookies, caramalised pastries, nutty delights (including pistachio, peanut and sesame), eccles cakes and marzipan. If you're not in sweet mode they also serve a selection of sandwiches, coffee and juices and have free wi-fi.
