Casual buffet dining with Downtown views from within the Burj Khalifa
Time Out Says
While the Armani Hotel's equivalent of an all day, casual dining haunt may be a buffet only affair, for this nature of eatery, Armani/Mediterraneo is a cut above the rest. The wide sweeping arch of the restaurant layout, curving inside the Burj Khalifa, is decorated in a simplistic and sophisticated style, and flooded with light, thanks to the glass expanses of windows along the walls. Service is smooth and personable, and perhaps due to the self-service system, there is little room for issues of this nature. The buffet itself is pleasingly modest, offering a varied but unintimidating selection. It includes cold starters such as raw and cold seafood, fresh breads, Lebanese dips and elegant salad combinations. The hot main courses vary from humble slices of pizza and manakish to the more ostentatious creation of crab stuffed sole. For the most part dishes look and taste fresh and appetising, and while the hot dishes can vary in quality, the colourful displays at the starter and dessert counters are particularly enticing.
