Spend an evening dining under stars at this late night courtyard eatery

Time Out Says

A’Rukn, or The Courtyard, is a completely al fresco spot, only open to the public during the cooler winter months. Stop off for a bite to eat under the stars, with a menu of, conversely, American bar food staples rather than traditional Arabic plates – despite what the name of the restaurant might suggest. The menu presented to you upon arrival is an ‘international’ menu full all burgers, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, quesadillas and battered fish goujons, so if you’re expecting a spread of traditional fare here, think again – unless you’d like the chef grilling shawarma outside to prepare you a roll. That’s as Arabic as the food gets. But people seem not to really come here for the food. It’s all about relaxing with friends during the cooler months, chatting, playing cards and smoking shisha.
