Time Out Says

Seamlessly matched to the Galleria Mall’s low-key gourmet vibe, Atisuto offers casual Japanese food at keen prices. Design is modern and bright and with lovely Japanese touches throughout – from black and white prints of sumo wrestlers to mosaics of paper fans. Sushi chefs knock out simple but excellent pieces, while other standouts from the menu include miso-glazed aubergines, punchy Japanese pickles, crisp chicken gyozas and lovely, light and crunchy tempura. There’s a small terrace outside and a larger inside space, and on our most recent visit both were packed. That popularity is perhaps down in no small part to the staff – genial, efficient and offering genuine advice on the menu rather than trying to upsell you into something that won’t suit. For all the quality, though, this is a thoroughly unfussy place, keen to get you in, feed you up and get you back out as quick as possible, while never making you feel like you’re overstaying your welcome.
