Bait Al Wakeel

Time Out Says

As locations go, Bayt Al Wakeel takes some beating. Situated just around the corner from Textile Souk, and jutting out into the creek on stilts, diners here are treated to picture perfect view of Dubai as abras cross the water and larger ships cruise past. At night, this view is particularly impressive, with the boats’ lights twinkling in the water. Dining al fresco, therefore, is a popular option, but don’t worry too much if you have to dine inside amid the historical building with large wooden doors. Due to its creekside location, Bayt Al Wakeel is popular with weary tourists, and often gets busy. The staff are often rushed off their feet, which will give you more time to admire the view. The menu is simple and fuss-free, with plenty of grilled meat and fish plus hot and cold mezze on offer. While nothing really stands out, this restaurant is more about the setting.
