Time Out Says

The food, on paper at least, is pretty unassuming – with a selection of mezze, salads, grills and pides making up the majority of options. What simply reading the dishes off the menu doesn’t do, though, is get across how tasty the food is going to be. You can get three mezze dishes for Dhs45 – excellent value. We recommend the mackerel from this selection, served in a light batter, it reminds us of whitebait. Kusbasili pide, topped with minced lamb and peppers, has a crispy base from the restaurant’s huge, wood-burning stove and the tasty toppings are just perfect. The beef and pistachio kebab has great texture from the nuts and the meat is juicy, but we leave some room for the baklava, made with home-made dondurma ice cream. The venue looks lovely – all turquoise and grey – but it can be quiet.
