Time Out Says
Set off the main thoroughfare, we love the pretty Italian décor – the stripey cushions, whitewashed wooden furniture and especially the cheese grater candle holders. In cooler weather a quaint al fresco area is a pleasant spot to sit, too.
With mozzarella being in the restaurant’s title, it’s safe to say that the standout ingredient is, of course, the creamy Italian cheese. The chef here uses it in plenty of ways – caprese, burrata etc. – although, we suggest you try the fried version. Hot, gooey cheese is perfectly melted and covered in a crisp coating. Fresh basil leaves and sweet cherry tomatoes cut through the richness.
Peckish? You’d do worse try than the calzone, a sizeable portion packed with veg and, you guessed it, mozzarella.
Parmesan lovers will adore the spaghetti alla nerano (just don’t wear your tightest jeans). It’s rich, it’s delicious and it’s massively satisfying.
Simple, effective and extremely tasty, Bianca is an excellent choice for JBR diners.
