Time Out Says
Looking for a guilt-free spot to take your junk food fiend of a friend, hoping to turn them to the light side? Then don’t go here. While the Biorganic supermarket is a great place for a spot of immune-boosting grocery shopping, the café leaves a lot to be desired. It may be a socially conscious and well-meaning eatery, but the sterile and uninspiring venue does nothing to encourage diners inside. And the flavourless, below par organic dishes lack seasoning and imagination. If you do find yourself famished and here, then you’d do well to stick to the basic salads and appetisers, or tasty detox juices. The meat dishes, unfortunately, often turn out dry and over cooked. Health-conscious families might find it a useful place to stop for a bite following a splurge in the store, as the café also provides dedicated children’s tables and chairs. So while the prices are reasonable and the staff eager to please, it’s hard to look past the disappointing food and lack of ambience.
