Dine by the Dubai Creek without having to board a dhow

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
There’s nothing quite like working up an appetite after strolling along the creek in the evening, and stuffing yourself with plates of mezze is a fine way to refuel. This creek-side eatery isn’t exactly a contender in the style stakes, but there’s a fine range of Lebanese fare to chow down as you watch the abras and dhows go by.

The fresh, zesty and sumac-sprinkled fattoush is a good place to start – grab bundles of it with houmous-slathered Arabic bread, packed together with moist and meaty fried kibbe, yielding fragrant grains of minced lamb and toasted pine seeds.

The service is friendly, casual and unpretentious and, like every quintessential Lebanese eatery, shisha reigns supreme. To digest after your meal, order a grape and mint flavour, sip some hot, sweet tea and watch the bustle of creek-side life pass you by.
