Bob's Fish & Chips
Decent fish and chips near Dubai Yacht Club and Byblos Marina hotel, ideal for a late-night pit stop
Time Out Says
‘Bob’ has clearly done his best to make sure his eatery feels like a traditional British fish and chip shop. Canteen tables, bright lights, steel chairs and a glass counter combine to lend the restaurant a budget, yet homely feel. The menu includes all the classics: large portions of all sorts of fish, battered meat and even haggis alongside reasonably chunky chips – yet it also offers options for those with a smaller appetite (and, no doubt, waistline), such as marinated salmon and jumbo tiger prawns. There are a surprising number of drinks available, including a tea selection, smoothies and Scottish-favourite Irn Bru. Dessert is limited to ice cream, but this is served from its own stand, and there are a variety of flavours on offer, from Cappuccino to Lemon Mint. Service is cheery, even when the crowd is bleary. As a pit stop, you can't go far wrong with Bob's place.
