Time Out Says
While most eateries in The Dubai Mall can be found in the rambunctious food courts or lining the Lower Ground level near The Dubai Fountain, Italian import Brandi is tucked away in a far quieter corner. As such, it doesn’t get as busy as it deserves, but the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere here is all the better for it – a welcome retreat from the spend-frenzied crowds. The appetisers are a little lacklustre but don’t let that put you off ordering one of its expertly prepared pizzas. Watch the dough tossed and stretched before your eyes before being smothered in fresh, quality toppings and slid into the oven. Fans of hot and cold combos should opt for the Don Eduardo, a focaccia-dough base, baked with olive oil and herbs and then topped with creamy burrata, rocket, cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan, olive oil and a sprinkling of salt. More classically minded? You can’t go wrong with simple margherita – a heart-melting combination of sloppy tomato and mozzarella, crowning a thin, crisp base.
