Bushman's Restaurant & Bar
Time Out Says
Set along the Palm’s East Crescent at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, the restaurant combines it’s lush rustic interior perfectly with its al fresco ‘surf shack’ area, making it a charming spot for casual drinks – better had during happy hour – and upscale dining. It can be cheaper than most steakhouses throughout the city, especially in terms of quality of food and the sizeable amounts given – an Aussie dining experience apparently doesn’t hold back.
Starters such as chicken salad will kick-start your appetite, with a thickly-filled battered chicken placed on a bed of zesty and seasoned Asian slaw. Its tiger prawns are grilled faultlessly too, but for a true outback treat, the kangaroo sirloin is the go-to dish. Tender to the touch and dripping with meaty juice, there’s a burst of taste with each bite. Coupled along with a chilli-glazed sauce with a mild twang, this is a signature dish to try.
Although, stray away from anything not labelled signature and Bushman’s slightly starts lacking in its flair, especially when it comes to its fish dishes.
For a novelty night out, with some decent signature dishes, it's worth a visit.
